Boycotting Valentine's Day

This might come as a surprise to you since I am obviously a HOPELESS ROMANTIC. But it's true. I am boycotting Valentine's day. Why you might ask. Well, you see... my friend is just my FRIEND, and all others... well... they don't 'entice' me. (Don't think entice is the right word.) Actually, that's a lie. There are other guys that would be good candidates but have been ruled out for various reasons like... I don't know them (strangers... fine,sexy strangers), they are too far away, I think they are hott, and sweet too but I don't know him well, (yep I was thinking of someone in particular with this one), and they are not 'my friend'!!! I don't even know why I like him!!! He's such a punk. No he's not... I lied again. He's sweet, and sexy, and smart, he makes me smile even when I don't want to, in short... he's as close to perfect as thet come. So because I can't get who I want I'm boycotting Valentine's day.

However, for all of you that have a Valentine, I hope you have a day filled with hugs and kisses and chocolate and roses and sweet love songs and romantic dinners.

For those of you without a romantic special someone (cuz everyone has speacial people, they just might not be romantic) have fun and don't let envy of all the ppl with ppl get you down... buy yourself flowers, go out with your single friends, have a ball anyway. Don't be a sourpuss(that is such a strange word) like me and boycott the whole lovey dovey hearts and roses thing.

2008

This new year started off at 360 miles per hour... my head is already spinning but IM LOVIN' IT!!! Who would have thought that being back at school would be so fulfilling.... The two weeks break was needed and appreciated but too much of a good thing wears you out. The holiday was different for me this year but it was great none the less.

I enjoyed the food (as always), the curry chicken and baked chicken... no jerk chicken this year *tears*, potato salad, authentic Jamamican style rice and peas with REAL coconut milk...yum yum, lasagna, roti and dahl, escovich fish, etc. and dinner COULDN'T be complete without a slice of rum or fruit cake, and in my case, sliceS of both and a glass of sorrel.... In other words, I stuffed myself so much I couldn't move and have subsequently gained 10 pounds!!!

The company we had for dinner was great too. Not the usual crowd of aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents but friends and lots of them... they are like family anyhow.

The liquor... loved it!!!

So all in all, even with missing all the people I was missing this Christmas I had a ball!!!

I am looking forward to a wonderful, fun-filled and prosperous 2008. Gonna do things bigger and better this year. Live everyday like its my last. And love unconditionally.

Usually things aren't as bad as they seem.

So what if you have to wake up early in the mornings...
Be thankful that you woke up!
Some people didn't.

So what if you wanted Honey Nut Cheerios for breakfast but there's only Captian Crunch...
Be thankful you have food!
Some people don't.

So what if you can't find a top that matches your pants perfectly...
Be thankful you have clothes!
Some people have none.

So what if this class is challenging...
be thankful you have the oppurtunity to go to school!
Some people can't.

Reagardless of the things we think are wrong with our life we should be thankful because someone else has it worst than we do!
